Be a Lover, Not a Fighter
Be a lover, not a fighter, to keep your marriage working.
Proverbs 3:30 gives wise counsel to couples who want to maintain peace in their marriage relationship: Don’t pick a fight without reason, when no one has done you harm.
Perhaps, like me, you have been in a place where you're feeling a bit ornery, and are ready to pounce on your spouse or anyone else who crosses your path. While it may feel good to vent, that's actually unloving behavior, and has no place in a marriage or any relationship. Picking a fight is like picking a scab. You cause pain and bleeding instead of healing. Be a lover, not a fighter, to keep your marriage working.
